Istanbul pool day passes range from €90 at the Hilton Bosphorus up to €450 for a full pool-and-lunch package at Çırağan Palace Kempinski. Four hotels in the city sell day access, all on the European side between Beşiktaş and Karaköy.
What to expect
Istanbul's pool scene is split between waterfront luxury and city-center green spaces. The top-tier options sit right on the Bosphorus, where you'll swim with views of the Asian shore and cargo ships passing by. Çırağan Palace Kempinski has the most famous pool in the city, a heated infinity pool that extends over the water from an Ottoman palace. The Peninsula Istanbul at Galataport is the newer alternative, with its Abelia Pool built at the water's edge.
For something more relaxed, Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus has a large garden pool surrounded by parkland in Harbiye. It's the most affordable option and works well for families. Swissôtel The Bosphorus sells day access through its Purovel Spa, which includes the outdoor pool in Sultan's Park plus indoor facilities.
When to go
Most outdoor pools in Istanbul open from late May through September. July and August are peak season, so expect higher prices and busier pools at the Kempinski and Peninsula. Weekday visits are cheaper at the Peninsula (€175 vs €200 on weekends) and generally quieter across all venues. Call ahead to confirm availability, especially during Turkish public holidays.
More pool day passes in Turkey
Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coasts have plenty of pool options outside the city. Bodrum has luxury beach clubs in Yalıkavak, while Antalya offers cliffside pools from €20. Fethiye is a quieter option on the Turquoise Coast, and Cappadocia has cave hotel pools with valley views.
